The Durhams go to Africa

This is the blogspot for the Durham's trip to Africa in fall 2006. We are taking an overland trip to east Africa, visiting Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and possibly, Rwanda or Congo. Some highlights from the trip: the Rift Valley, Mountain gorillas, Serengeti, Kilimanjaro, rafting the Nile and the island of Zanzibar.

This sounds fabulous! I cannot wait to see all the photos! Thanks for sharing your adventures. It is much appreciated and we're loving the vicarious experience. Enjoy your trip and stay safe! By the way....hope you haven't needed the Xifaxan! Of course, if you do, you must divulge if you're in the 11.7%! LOL

I was just wondering if when the wind blows does the tent fill up with air like it did in the Outer Banks? Also are you using ramps and not pillows? That should give you a clue as to who this is. The trip is amazing thank you for sharing I hope you will be posting the pictures somewhere on line for all of us to see them.

To the knitstress: Yes, the tent does poof up with air - but so far, no rain! It's poured rain a few nights and once we had hail, but we must have done a good job setting it up - no leaks!

To Pam, Sandy and all the others: I have TONS of pictures - did not bring a card reader for my SD card, so we're only able to post some of Todd's smaller size pics. Can't wait to share them all. I have not needed the Xifaxan (yet) and I am about 50% sure I still don't have malaria. Not to worry, though, the change in my diet has been weapon enough. Ha ha!
